Fitness Programs

Our fitness programs are generally presented in ‘sessions’ of 8 weeks. No scan cards are used as they require the payment of a fee that is based on session length. Pro-rated fees are available after sessions start. Stop by the Member/Guest Services desk Monday-Friday to register and pay. Questions? Call 616-355-5108.

Pickle Ball

Lessons: Available upon request.  Borrow our paddles or bring your own.

A fun game that is played on a smaller version of a tennis court. It’s easy for beginners to learn but can be fast-paced for experienced players. A great workout and lots of fun!

Beginning Tai Chi

Improve your balance and coordination with this ancient form of exercise. We’ll use a simple format in which students of all levels can learn and participate. 1 hr. with instructor Bill Mendenhall

Better Bones

Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m., in the Seminar Room; Session begins April 11  (1 hour class)

Nutrition and exercise can help keep your bones healthy and prevent osteoporosis.  You’ll learn how to strengthen your spine and improve your posture.  It’s not too late!  Instructor: Marcie Smith

As we age, we are susceptible to falls and fall-related injuries. Learn how to change your environment to reduce fall factors and to view falls as controllable.  We’ll help you become “fall-proof!”   Instructors are Amy VandePoel & Janeth Coray – 2 hour class.
