
These classes are all available to anyone who is a member of Evergreen and has purchased the appropriate fitness package. Classes may be attended by guests age 50+. Daily fees apply. Click here for a printable Fitness Schedule. To help you determine if a class is right for you, we now have the following level guidelines:
◊ Easy – Mild intensity, designed for those just getting started in a fitness program. A chair is often used as an aid for balance and support.
◊◊ Moderate – The cardio classes will be faster paced with more involved choreography. One should be able to get down on the floor with relative ease.
◊◊◊ Challenging – Format and intensity of these classes is designed for the more advanced exerciser.
Arthritis Foundation Exercise Class ◊
Tuesday 2:00 p.m. & Friday 11:15 a.m., Seminar Room
Gentle, joint–safe movements for various fitness levels will help you experience less stiffness and discomfort. Seated and standing exercises utilized. (45 minutes)
Balance & Stretch for Parkinson’s ◊
Monday & Wednesday 10:15 a.m., Commons Room
A class designed exclusively for those dealing with Parkinson’s. The exercises will help increase balance and flexibility and strengthen your voice. (55 minutes)
Body Flex ◊◊◊
Monday & Wednesday, 4:15 p.m., Seminar Room
A challenging total body strength workout done to rhythm and music. Participants must be able to get down on the floor. (45 minutes)

Low impact aerobics followed by trunk stability exercises and mat stretching. (60 minutes)
Chair Exercise ◊

A well-balanced exercise class designed for those who find standing uncomfortable. (45 minutes)
Chair Yoga ◊
Tuesday, 12:30 p.m. and Thursday, 1:30 p.m., Seminar Room
A gentle and accessible approach to yoga with a chair for support. A great class for beginners. (60 minutes)
Gentle Jive ◊◊
Monday & Wednesday, 9:00 a.m., Auditorium
Fun, low-impact aerobics choreographed to songs you grew up with. A good beginning level class. Low impact, but not TOO gentle. (45 minutes)
Parkinson’s Exercise Class ◊
Tuesday & Thursday, 10:30 a.m., Seminar Room
Exercise brings additional oxygen and glucose to the brain. The brain then has the ability to form new capillaries, boost brain chemicals and protect neurons. This class will use the support of a chair to perform seated and standing exercises-designed for those with Parkinson’s or neurological challenges. Keep moving! (60 minutes)

A combination of Pilates-inspired strengthening and toning exercises and classic yoga poses.
Pilates ◊◊

Designed to work the powerhouse of the body; abs, glutes, back, and hips. Pilates will greatly benefit you in your daily life with its emphasis on increasing the strength of your “core.” (60 minutes)

A yoga class for the active older adult. Improve your strength, flexibility, and balance through various postures and poses designed to challenge your body. A workout that is both invigorating and relaxing. (60 minutes)

Fun and easy to do! This Latin-inspired fitness dance class includes Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, Cumbia, and Rock ‘n Roll. Provides a safe, fun, and effective total body workout. (45 minutes)
